Jenny O'Brien is based in the West of Ireland,
having lived in Galway since 1995. She has been performing as a professional
vocalist for almost twenty years. A classically trained mezzo-soprano,
she has also played the piano since the age of four, and is a former
member of the renowned Galway Baroque Singers. In addition to her
classical wedding music repertoire, Jenny also enjoys singing and
playing other musical genres such as jazz, blues, soul, traditional,
funk and rock music.
Jenny's formal musical training began at the age of thirteen with the
Wexford School of Music - the home of the internationally renowned Wexford
Festival opera productions, Feis Ceoil competitions, and of course school
musicals all added to her performance experience, with numerous
large scale productions under her belt even before leaving school.
As a young adult Jenny continued to broaden her skills, with a continuous
stream of gigs and performances as a student in both in Dublin and Galway City, ultimately making
her home and musical career in Galway where she still resides.
Jenny takes pride and pleasure in providing the perfect music for your wedding.
Her distinctive, strong voice, skills as a pianist, and her personalised
approach gives you a vast choice of music for your Big Day, from
subtle piano music to full-on classical pieces, without the worry
(and cost!) of co-ordinating several different musicians to get the
sound you want.
